Storage Planned Before It's Built

We design walk-in wardrobes in Hobart around how you actually store and access clothing, shoes and accessories, not just how much space is available. Mint Joinery plans the internal layout, including hanging space, shelving and drawers, before building the joinery to suit.

Dressing rooms can include additional features such as seating or dressing areas, depending on the size of the space and how you use it. We build robes to make use of the full room, including awkward corners or sloped ceilings where relevant.

Robes sit alongside luxury bathrooms and vanities, laundries and butler's pantries and custom cabinetry.

Inside a Mint Joinery Robe

We set the internal layout first, then build the joinery to the shape and height of the room.

  • Hanging configuration: We proportion short-hang, long-hang and double-hang runs to the wardrobe the room actually has to hold.
  • Shelving and drawers: We combine drawer banks, open shelving and shoe storage so everyday items sit within easy reach.
  • Awkward spaces: We work sloped ceilings, corners and restricted access points into the layout rather than leaving them as dead space.
  • Dressing areas: We can build in seating, bench space and mirror positions where the room is large enough to support them.
