Stone benchtops in Hobart are typically the final stage of a Mint Joinery kitchen renovation, fitted once cabinetry is installed. We select stone to match the overall design of the kitchen, both for bench surfaces and for splashback sections behind cooktops and sinks.
As a finishing surface, we choose stone for its durability as much as its appearance. It needs to withstand daily cooking and cleaning while still looking sharp years after installation. We measure each kitchen precisely so we can template and cut benchtops and splashbacks to fit exactly around cabinetry, sinks and cooktops.

Benchtops and Splashbacks
We schedule templating, fabrication and installation around the rest of the renovation so the kitchen is only out of action once.
- Digital templating: We template benchtops after cabinetry installation so cut-outs land exactly where sinks, taps and cooktops sit.
- Matched splashbacks: We select splashback sections to match or complement the bench stone, keeping the work surfaces reading as one.
- Edge profiles and detailing: We choose edge treatment, waterfall ends and overhangs to suit the cabinetry style and how you use the bench.
- Care guidance: We talk through cleaning and maintenance for the stone you choose so the finish holds up in a working kitchen.
